Myth Hunters are players who investigate the myths of Roblox and explore them and their games.

Myth hunters are players who analyze and investigate Roblox Myths. These players will try to explain these myths’ stories and they will most likely explore myth games that are apart of the myth or will watch myth hunting videos showing people who have interacted with myths as a part of their researching. These players are usually in Myth Hunter Associations/Groups, such as Mythsman: Myth Investigation Service.
Myth Hunt[]
A Myth Hunt is a form of activity where groups or organizations would bring attention to certain myths and would investigate/research these myths. These Myth Hunts are started by an HR from a Myth Hunter Group/Association. A popular example of a myth hunt is when Flamingo created the fake myth demonboy8929381 and started a myth hunt for this myth.
Types of Myth Hunters[]
- Youtubers - These people are Myth Hunters and Youtubers who would record their exploration of myth games or post their theories in YouTube videos. They may also record their interactions with a Myth. An example is Mrflimflam, a popular Youtuber who records his interactions of myths, such as The Smiles Family or Grocery Gang.
- Groups/Associations - These Myth Hunters are in Myth Hunting Groups or is in control of one and they will most likely have participate in a Myth Hunt which are started from HR’s group-shouting a game. They are mostly the reason why myths are growing.
- Exploration Teams - These Myth Hunters explore myth games together with other Myth Hunters. They do research and will try to make theories together. These Myth Hunters are usually in a team of two exploring Myth Games whenever they myth hunt.
History[]
During 2008, Myth Hunting was slowly becoming popular due to the amount of Myth accounts that were being created throughout the late 2000’s. Players would create the first myth hunting groups, such as the Roblox Myth Hunters. Later in 2011, the Robloxian Myth Hunters group was founded by Jokerkid5898 as a way to communicate with other myth hunters, bringing in more myth hunters. In 2014, the Roblox’s Myths group was founded by Kazdam. Their infamous Nursery Myths/Shadelight investigation helped make myth hunting more popular and inspired more myth hunting groups to be created. During the mid-2010’s, popular myth hunting groups started gaining traction, such as Mythsman: Myth Investigation Service and the Palace Of Myths. YouTubers that were also myth hunters was on the rise, such as Flamingo. His investigation of DrMach in 2018 brought a spike in popularity of the myth community. Currently there are many myth hunting groups with thousands of active members.
Myth Inspired Developers[]
Myth Inspired Game Developers are people who create myth genre content, but are not Myths themselves. Myth Inspired Game Developers can also be myth hunters too. They usually are very talented at building and sometimes help out myths with their own content.
Types of Myth Inspired Game Developers[]
- Horror Game Devs: Horror Game Devs are developers that generally create horror themed content. Their account’s and other things they own do not relate to their games like Myths do.
- Myth Affiliated Devs: Myth Affiliated Devs are developers that help out myths with their games. They’re not affiliated in the myth’s story but will develop games for the myths.

- Currently, Roblox’s Myths is the most popular myth hunting group, with 419K+ members. The Robloxian Myth Hunters is the second most popular myth hunting group, with 393K+ members.
- Although Roblox's Myths is the most popular myth hunting group it was shut down in 2021 and replaced by the Bureau of Myths which has a lot less members.
- During the late 2000's, Myth Hunters called myths "Creepypasta guys".
