"Persecute" ― A code used in Attainment Failure
Attainment Failure is full of weird and terrifying builds which shows how Littlenathanial is losing his sanity throughout the game. There are also monsters that roam the chaotic game.
Overview[]
Attainment Failure is a game made by Littlenathanial. It is a chaotic and nightmarish place that doesn’t seem to reveal much story. The dim yellowish-brown color scheme, as well as the continual screen flashing and ominous noises contribute to one of Nathanial’s uncanniest games. Attainment Failure uses simple mechanics to progress through the game, such as finding a button to open a gate. There are three monsters throughout the game that do different things to the player.
Walkthrough[]
Once the player spawns, they need to follow the path until they come across a left and right turn. The left turn leads to a gate that can be opened. To open it, the player will go down the right turn and the player will arrive at an area with pillars and arches. There is also a tall rusty building at the back of the area with stairs leading up to the entrance to the building. Inside, there is a button on the floor, the player must click it and then it will open the gate. The player can now go past the gate.
There is a large area behind the gate, and a temple. There isn’t much inside it other than a couple of rooms, one being on the right side of the bottom floor, and another being on the second floor. The player will want to use the ladder to get onto the second floor, and go down the left hall, and enter the hall with chains and vases. There is a teleport at the end that teleports them to the edge of a block, so be careful and don’t move or they will fall off. When the player gets there, they will make their way inside the building and go by the block. Once there, the player will say the word “Persecute” and they will then be attacked by a large monster which will then kick the player from the game.
Back at the spawn area with a left and right turn, there is also a path straight ahead. Down the path, there is some sort of spawn thing, and to the left of it, there is a shrine where one of the monsters spawn. There are bodies next to the shrine. There is also a hidden room on the right side of the corridor of where the player first spawns. Inside, there is a wheel and a transparent cube in front of it. The wheel could possibly be a reference to the Littlenathanial collaboration.
Throughout Attainment Failure, there are 3 monsters that can be found. The first is a spider like creature that spawns down the straight path at the start of the game. It has a countdown for when it is about to spawn. The second monster is a rusty ball with a mask on its front which teleports to the player randomly and doesn’t harm you. The third monster is the one that kicks you at the end.
History[]
On April 15th, 2019, Littlenathanial tweeted a picture of the spider-like monster with some of the structures within the game, however this tweet is now deleted from Littlenathanial’s Twitter. Also, on the 4th of May, 2019, Littlenathanial posted a screenshot of one of his soon to be released games called “Attainment Failure”. The screenshot consisted of the ceiling of the center part within the temple. This screenshot was then later used as the thumbnail of the game, which was released on 9th of May, 2019. However, one day before the release of the game, Littlenathanial tweeted a screenshot of the gate which the player has to unlock by clicking a button with a message which stated “5/9/19”, suggesting this was when game “Attainment Failure” would be released to the public. The latest update that Littlenathanial had made to “Attainment Failure” was on the 25th of January, 2020.
