History[]

AzazelHimself joined Roblox on December 2nd, 2018. Afterwards, on the 26th of December, AzazelHimself created his game "Birth". At some point early on, the myth would be followed by InterestingMyths, which likely lead to Azazel becoming very popular in the community.

Soon after this boost from InterestingMyths, Azazel would gain yet another boost, when the YouTuber Temprist uploaded his video "The Roblox Myth Hunting Experience". This video was uploaded on the 16th of March, 2019, and lead to Azazel gaining over 100K+ visits.

After this, Azazel would go mostly inactive on Roblox, not doing anything notable until mid-2022, when the Roblox ARG group "Praktikós" was created. This group was quite controversial for taking many well known old myths, and turning them into ARGs, which are a different subset of users which are very similar to myths but do not use the myth title. Despite not being apart of this group, it has been said by many users that he was involved in the group, and somewhat of a honorary user, which is supported by the fact that Azazel last updated his game around the time of Praktikós' creation.

As of writing this, Azazel was last online on February 18th, 2024, although is not known to have done anything notable during that time.

Appearance[]

AzazelHimself's avatar is heavily based off of modern depictions of Satan, with red skin, horns, a tail, and goat's legs. He also has a trident.

Game(s)[]

Birth[]

The game starts off with you being in a jail cell, after a randomly generated amount of time the jail cell will open. After that, the player can either walk to the right or to the left. If they walk to the left, they'll find two rooms, each one featuring small goblets and fruits, as well as books. Beyond those rooms is a much longer room, featuring statues on each side of the room as well as candelabras, and a door at the end of the room. This door has the text "AHZREVPNY PBQR OYBPXF" above it. Using a few ciphers you can translate this to "NUMERICAL CODE BLOCKS". By then finding a room featuring five blocks on a pedestal, the player can use these to find the code "31254". This will open the door and lead the player to finding a room with a kneeling statue surrounded by blood, a few shelves and another room behind the statue. This room is a large grassy maze, which features a few notable statues and a door with text above it. This text translates to "ITEMS/OBJECTS = KEY TO DOOR". Unfortunately, there is nothing behind the secret door, meaning the game is incomplete.

By then looking around the game, the player can find multiple hidden encrypted codes, which translate to "195623". This code opens up a secret room behind a candelabras, which features a large brimstone symbol on the ground. When AzazelHimself is in-game, the game will go dark, ominous music will play, and the pool of blood will open up into a portal leading a game entitled "tophet", which was seen in Temprist's video on Azazel. There's also a riddle in the game that will open up a small hole in the wall, which features another room with a large red brimstone in the center.

Personality and Traits[]

When met in-game, Azazel will act overly egotistical and talk a lot, mostly about himself. He will refer to people around him as being below him, and demand they treat him with complete respect.

Trivia[]

  • His username is named after Azazel, a fallen angel, and today often used to refer to the biblical Satan.
  • Tophet is a Hebrew word for a location where ritualistic burnings took place, which were a sacrifice to a god named "Moloch".
