dianoetic's depository is a game made by dianoetic, which shows someone's mind, thoughts and memories.

Starting out[]
The player spawns in a giant hallway with arched openings on either side and both stories of the room, each leading to a door surrounded by bookshelves. An arched door at the end of the hallway leads into another hallway, this one containing ten openings in the wall with colored portals as well as one more room sitting at the end of the room. Each opening is labeled and numbered, teleporting the player to the following places:
- library of the mind
- river of the soul
- desert of the palm
- forest of the heart
- ossuary of the spirit
- plains of the body
- clouds of the breath
- grand ballroom
- a tribute to those who stand by me

- library of the mind -
The player spawns in a pink-tinted world consisting of a few islands and circular walkways. The largest island floating in the center of the area contains several bookshelves shaped into a circle surrounding wood flooring and a lectern with an open book resting on it. Books also float in the air and standing on the lectern or books teleports the player to the "house of the dream".
Behind the library, area is a smaller platform with the letter “M” engraved on it. Traveling back up the circular pathways and touching the pink portal teleports the player back to the depository.

The player spawns in a sepia-tinted world on a grassy platform with a flower symbol engraved into the surface. A few more platforms with a stone path lead the player to a large house.
Inside is a kitchen, a living area, and a dining area, as well as a door leading into a bathroom. Going up the stairs, the player will come across a large hallway with another living area consisting of couches and a few paintings as well as a door leading into a bedroom with posters and photographs hanging on the walls. At the end of the large hallway is a white doorway decorated with colorful circles and a shape resembling that of an eye. Touching the doorway teleports the player to the room.

The player spawns in a black room with colorful spheres floating. The only other object in the room is a clock set at about 12:45. A white doorway stands opposite the clock and teleports the player back to the "house of the dream".
- river of the soul -
The player spawns on a platform with a circular design at its center in a blue-tinted, spinning world. A set of planks cross over to a long strip of a platform resembling water with books, fish, and paintings emerging from its surface. Blue orbs and smaller platforms float around the water strip and one, in particular, has a pink star-shaped symbol engraved on its surface. Touching the symbol teleports the player to nameless.
Continuing up the strip of water, the player will come across a set of platforms formed in a straight line. On the back of the last platform, the letter “E” is engraved on the side. Dropping below, returning to the spawn point, and touching the blue portal will teleport the player back to the depository.

The player spawns inside a huge beam. Purple platforms are situated in a manner that makes the entire structure appear elliptical with orbs floating above the corners and the middle of each side of the form. Lines or stars are engraved on each platform and looking up, the ceiling is mirrored from the floor.
- desert of the palm -
The player spawns in a cloudy red world on a platform with a star shape engraved into the surface. Several identical platforms lead the player to a bigger island with the same shape engraved at the center with a gauntlet holding a giant orb. A two-headed snake wraps around the stand of the gauntlet. Standing on the orb teleports the player to the inner mind.
Floating at the periphery of the large island are smaller platforms. Three have snakes, one holds a cactus, another contains a sphynx, and one more holds a pyramid. A small path of platforms leads the player to a circular structure made up of columns with the letter “L” engraved into the surface at the center. Following the paths back to the spawn point and touching the red portal teleports the player back to the depository.

The player spawns in a pink sphere with beams of light stretching from the floor to the ceiling and orbs floating in the air. Three figures appear to be suspended in the air: one with a mask, one with pink hair and purple bows, and one with glasses and a black hat.
- forest of the heart -
The player spawns on a grassy platform with a large green bridge leading to a small island of trees, benches, sheep, and a small house with a fireplace, a kitchen counter, and the Mona Lisa hanging up inside. A few large platforms are floating around this one that cannot be accessed: one contains a small cave with a bear sleeping inside, another holds a small pond with white fish swimming around as well as two lambs, and the last contains a rock statue of a hand with vines from a lily pad wrapping around one finger along with a lamb and birds flying or sitting on the statue. On the tip of the hand, the letter “A” is inscribed.
Off to the side is a large island that can be accessed through a set of smaller platforms leading the player up to it. A rock path on the island leads to the front door of a small structure, inside of it is a rounded table and chairs with a tea set, photos of mountains and bodies of water hanging up, and a counter holding a fish in a tank and a note reading the following:
“the wind blows the trees, making them sway
the air breathed by all is crisp
the bear in his cave will lay
the deer drink from the water in sheer bliss
and when night time falls, all is quiet
a dark, seemingly cozy abyss”
One other island can be accessed through a set of small platforms, though it doesn’t have anything on it. Walking back across the bridge and touching the green portal takes the player to the depository.
- ossuary of the spirit -
The player spawns in a dark, desaturated world. The trees have lost all of their leaves and the grass of the platform that the player spawns on appears to be dead, taking on a grey tone. A set of similarly grassy platforms lead the player to a larger island, with the platform they spawn on containing a grave as well as a platform below with a cross on the tombstone.
The larger island contains a big church-like structure with a rock path leading to the front door. On the front lawn is a grave, and the letter “N” can be found written on the back wall of the church. Inside the church are racks of skulls on either side of the room with a large pile of bones and pierced skulls along with an empty open tomb sitting at the back. Walking over the pile teleports the player to his ritual.
Turning back up the platforms and touching the black portal teleports the player to the depository.

The player spawns on a small circular platform in a hazy world. A hooded figure wearing a mask kneels at the center of the platform, lying nearby a scroll with a shape resembling that of a star inscribed, two candles, and two bundles of some kind of plant or stick.
- plains of the body -
The player spawns in a yellow-toned world resembling that of a savannah. Immediately to the right is a platform with a giraffe on it. Wooden planks built into a bridge lead the player to another giraffe platform and one more set of planks takes the player to a platform with a structure built from a tree. Gazelles jump around the tree and several smaller islands with animals such as jaguars and giraffes surround the platform. Behind the tree, the letter “C” is inscribed into the trunk. Touching the door of the tree teleports the player to study of the brain.
Returning up the bridges to the spawn point and touching the orange portal teleports the player back to the depository.

The player spawns in a small room with two diagrams of the parts of the human brain and the elements of self-talk hanging up on the walls. A desk in the middle of the room holds a quill and ink, a stack of books, and several scrolls with one sprawled open. Above the desk hangs a lightbulb from the ceiling and behind it is a giant bookcase holding closed scrolls. Touching the front door teleports the player back to the plains.

The player spawns in a snow-covered world with giant clouds floating in the white sky. A path of circular platforms leads to a snowy expanse with small polar bears scattered throughout the surface. Near the back of the island is a structure resembling that of a den with a giant polar bear sleeping inside, the letter “H” written on one of its claws. Returning up the platforms to the spawn point and touching the purple portal teleports the player back to the depository.
- grand ballroom -
The player spawns in a giant room containing rows of white chairs situated back to back. A triangle pattern decorates each wall and a door within a triangular opening in the back wall leads the player into a large, spacious room acting as a dance floor. Decorated tables surround the floor and at the back of the room is a counter underneath a wooden arch holding a flower vase. Behind the counter, the letter “O” is written on the floor. Going back into the main room and touching the brown portal teleports the player to the depository.

The player spawns on a large grassy platform with a circular stone design as the center, the world taking on a smoky ambiance. A stone path across several platforms leads the player to a large rectangular structure made up of columns and slightly arched walls. Inside, large Chinese characters translating to “friend” float above a set of platforms. Coming back outside, large Korean characters translating to “heart” can be seen floating above the roof of the building. Behind the building, the letter “L” is inscribed into the wall. Returning to the spawn point and touching the purple portal teleports the player back to the depository.
- gramsby -
The player spawns in the room of a ruined structure, the walls and ceiling falling apart. The sky is dark and partly cloudy, and a low hanging bridge leads the player into a room with mats lining the walls, bowls sitting near some of them. Another bridge leads to a large stone platform containing a clock tower with an arched opening that the player can walk through.
The next bridge has a cart on it and takes the player to a stone island with a giant umbrella standing in the middle. Three carts surround it with one tipped over and a structure resembling a lift runs next to another bridge that takes the player to the next platform, this one containing a long, somewhat broken building with rugs lining the floor and a narrow chasm with planks set over it.
The last bridge leads to a smaller rock island with a house built upon it. The letter “Y” is inscribed on the roof and behind the house sits a white crown decorated with colorful gems. Touching it teleports the player to gathering of the lights. Touching the front door to the house teleports the player to bar.
Turning back to the spawn point and touching the brown portal teleports the player to the depository.

The player spawns in a galaxy on top of a grassy platform. Two more platforms, each of these decorated with colorful circles, lead to a giant pyramid-like grass structure with a purple rug lining up to the top. At the very top of the pyramid are several chairs making up the colors of the rainbow, situated at the perimeter of a colorful rug. A multitude of colorful orbs float above, almost covering the sky.

The player spawns in a room containing a large counter with stools and several tables for two people to sit at. The walls of the bar are decorated with a pattern of the white outlines of cubes and a radio sits on the counter. Behind the counter is a trapdoor. Touching the front door of the bar teleports the player back to gramsby.

Post-teleports[]
After going through each teleport and finding the letter that corresponds with each game, the player can progress to the very back of the depository into a small room containing a wooden platform with a “D” inscribed into its surface. Directions above the platform tell the player to stand on it and type a ten letter word into chat, this being “melancholy”. After saying this, the platform will disappear and drop the player into a dark room with a lit up doorway. Walking through this passage teleports the player to ʎɹoʇısodǝp s,ɔıʇǝouɐıp.
- ʎɹoʇısodǝp s,ɔıʇǝouɐıp -
The player spawns in the depository, though it has taken on a dark, greyscale tone with white particles scattered throughout the room and the entire depository appears to be upside down. None of the portals in the next room can be accessed, though walking up to the “dead end” sign at the end of the hallway teleports the player to pink tree.

The player spawns on a large island in a dark, pink-toned world. A large tree stands at the center of the island and the following text floats in front of it:
“the imagination can be a beautiful thing, but inspiration can get lost and wander away. it’s like walking down a long path with beautiful scenery only for it to abruptly stop at a dead end.
thanks for being a part of this with me.”

Theories[]
- The depository could represent a human mind that is becoming less able to function over time, whether mentally or physically.
- The dead end signs at the end of the dark depository and pink tree could represent several possibilities such as the inability to think straight or comprehend the events surrounding a person, or on the more extreme side, death.
- The colors of the sub-games start off more bright, gradually getting less saturated up to “gramsby” portraying a more dark, dreary mood. This could reflect the idea of dwindling mental health, possibly the effects of a mood disorder.
- The contrast between the beginning of the depository (somewhat colorful and vibrant yet orderly) and the depository after finding and inputting the code (extremely dark and greyscale with the entire structure upside down) could follow this kind of concept, ending with slightly more visible color in “pink tree” to create some kind of possibility of hope.
