"There is no teacher greater than experience." ― Quote within Game Hub

Game Hub is the most popular game associated with the myth group, Subtraction. Hence the name, it serves as a hub for the many games among the accounts in Subtraction. It has been visited by Flamingo multiple times, helping it gain a large amount of popularity.

Overview[]

Game Hub is a game created by 777I7777777. Many games related to Subtraction can be accessed from here, and this is usually the place people hang out. There are lots of different pieces of art and furniture throughout the rooms and halls, as well as the teleports to separate games. The story within these games are very vague but have decent puzzles and exploration for the player. All of the games featured within Game Hub are up to date, with some being revamped versions of previous games or entirely new ones.

Bodysnatcher seems to take place in the cemetery of a wasteland that alludes to Satanism in multiple ways. The storyline of it is obscure leaving room for lots of theorizing. The same applies to Stress Test in terms of it being obscure, but it seems to be about the player giving up their soul and everything about them. The character, Curagendarius, reoccurs through many of these games as some sort of god. This includes Acid Snow, a vast land filled with snow that had possibly gone through some nuclear attack due to political problems.

Odyssey, Leviathan, and “Do Not” all seem to be obscure places created for the purpose of testing the player with a sort of game. Other than that, it may have a philosophical purpose.

Walkthrough[]

Game Hub[]

The player will spawn in a white-ish room with statues and furniture spread round the place and a close door behind them. On the left side of the room is a doorway, as well as the right side. If the player goes to the area on the left, they will enter a similar room but it has named pictures with objects in front of them. The first picture is named, “Odyssey” and the description provided for it reads, “A hedge labyrinth with a near impossible escape.” If the player clicks the obelisk in front of them, they will be teleported to the game. The next game is named, “Leviathan”, and the description says, “A place you should have never stepped foot in.” The final picture seen in that room is called, “Achluophobia”. The description for the game says, “A small library that holds many secrets.”, and the player will once again be teleported if they interact with the object.

On the left of the same room is a hallway into another. In this hallway are some notable hats seen throughout some of the accounts of Subtraction. More games are present in this next room. The first is “Bodysnatcher” but has no description. The second game in the room is called, “Stress Test”, and has the description, “A gloomy cell with a crate and incinerator.” Continuing through the museum, the player will find another game, Acid Snow. The description reads, “A barren nuclear winter”. There is a closed door seen in this room, which will probably lead to more areas eventually.

GHGallery2

One of the rooms that contain three of the Subtraction games.

Back to the spawn room, if the player goes through the right doorway, they will find a series of rooms with the first game being on the left wall in the first room. The game is named, “30th 20th”, and the description states, “Made to confuse.” Like the others, it will teleport the player. In the next room is the game, “Sepia”. The description reads “An enclosed landscape of wood planks in the shape of land.” Behind this wall is another game called, “Do Not”, and has the description, “A dark lair with ‘no escape?’”

The final room seems to be a meeting room, as it has a long table and many chairs. Another closed door is present here.

Odyssey[]

After spawning, the player will find themselves in a dark maze, with the only light source being a lantern in their inventory. They will have to progress within the maze in order to find two spots to reach the end, these two locations being the key and the door.

If they follow a Right-Straight-FLeft-Right-Right-Straight-Right-Left-Straight-FRight-Left-FRight-FLeft-Left-Right pattern, (F being when there’s a corner, in other terms “Forced” Left or Right) they will find the key, on a small altar with above, the Grace symbol. From there, if the player follows a Straight-Straight-FRight-FLeft-Straight-Right-FLeft-FLeft-Right-Straight-Straight-FRight-Straight-Left, they will find the door, with a keyhole next to it to open it. When going through the door, the lantern in the inventory will disappear and the player will walk in a dark corridor. A few seconds later, a black orb will appear at the end of it and the light will turn to red. After touching this orb, the player is teleported to the final room, where they earn the “Fate” badge and where a message on a stone is found, reading: “You have lost the game, but was it ever intended to be won?”.

Leviathan[]

Once they spawn, the player will begin in a hall with a light showing some sort of monument at the end. On the right side of the room, they can search for a hidden button to open the closed door in front of them. When successful, they can proceed down a hallway with a torch until the ground underneath them falls. They should then be in a cell with a broken wall behind them. Pushing this wall out will reveal yet another corridor. In the room that it leads to, the player can first push a button on the column on the wall. This will open the hatch nearby that can be entered using the ladder. The new room will have another hatch that needs to be opened, and can be done by going back down and into the room on the left. Another button is present here. Eventually, the player can continue to the next segment of the game.

They will then need to explore a small maze for an exit, but they first must click the button in the middle. The player should then be inside another long hall with a smaller one on the left wall. If they keep walking down it, they will finally arrive in a room eye that watches them and a portal. This leads to a much more holy-like place, as new music will start playing there is a much more bright style to it. If the player walks to the end, the floor will collapse again and they will be trapped within a dark room, seemingly being the end of the game.

Achluophobia[]

Once the player spawns within the dark building in Achluophobia, they can simply walk down the hallway past a closed door into a central room with several bookcases lining the walls. To the right of the room, a button can be found on the wall between two bookcases and clicking it causes the previously closed door in the first hallway to open, closing its door again after a short while. Inside this room are a few barrels and crates, and in the far right corner of the room a narrow passageway can be accessed that leads the player to a lever on the wall. They must click the lever in order to access another part of the building.

GHGallery8

Coming back to the main room, in the middle case to the left there is a clickable book that can be found near the left side of the case on the second lowest shelf. When clicked, the first door down the other hall will open and eventually close after a prolonged period. Inside of this room are a vase, a barrel, a desk and chair, and a trapdoor in one corner. If the player clicked the lever in the first room, this trapdoor will be open and allow the player to fall through into another dark hallway with a torch equipped. At the end of the hallway is a Leviathan cross engraved on the wall and the phrase beneath it, “Don’t worry, one day things will change.” No other doors in the building can be accessed through other buttons.

Bodysnatcher[]

When the player arrives in Bodysnatcher, they will be in an entrance to a cemetery in a wasteland like world. To the left of them is a lever that opens the gate to the cemetery. From here, the player can explore multiple endings.

If the player goes forward and to the left a little inside the graveyard, they should find a rose on top of a grave. Once collected, they can head back to the area they had spawned in and use the rose to unlock the gate. The player will then be teleported inside of a dark room with four doors and another rose in front of them. If they pick up the rose, they can then enter the rooms. The first room on the left features a coffin for “A friend”. The second room on the same side is for “A Stranger”. The next is for “A Loved One”, and the last one is for “Lucifer”.

If the rose is given to the first coffin, the player will be kicked and left with the message, “Simple people, good people.” If given to “A Loved One”, the player will get the same message. The second room will give the message, “You try to prove that you care. that you’re above the rest. Deep down you know you’re down with us, down with sin.” Finally, when given to Lucifer, the player will obtain the badge, “Betrayal of One’s Own Self”, and the message “Trying so hard to be something that you’re not, lying to yourself. You’re such a sad case.” This is the end of one of the endings.

Back at the cemetery, the player can go to the far right of the sixth row where a skull with a helmet is present. The grave is for “Freddy Josephs”, seemingly a war veteran. The helmet can be collected from the floor and the player should then head to the back of the area. Here, the player can find some sort of large satanic altar with a circular platform in the center. The helmet can be placed there starting a timer. Their screen will start to flash red and a goat skull with a blue and green eye will watch the player from the sky. The player will have to race back to the graveyard and enter some sort of portal to a place called, “Punishment”. If the player is caught by the entity, they will be kicked and left with the message, “WHAT’S IN THE BONEYARD BELONGS IN THE DIRT, NOT IN YOUR HOME. WHAT ROTS BELONG IN THE GROUND, NOT FOR YOU. ONE DAY YOU WILL ROT WITH THEM TOO.” At Punishment, they will be trapped inside a cage with many others hanging around. Above them is a button that can be clicked dropping them into the abyss. The player will then be kicked from the game with the message, “Not everything is forgivable.”

Stress Test[]

Once the player spawns in Stress Test, they will be in a small room with a box, ladder, military badge, and a hole. The box has the words “Your soul” on it, and the phrase “YOU WILL ROT” is also on the wall. The player will be able to push the box through the hole to remove the grid from a ventilating system that the ladder leads to. Once they travel through the vent, they will arrive in a hallway with a trophy at the end of it. If the player tries to collect the trophy, the floor will fall out from under them and kick them from the game, leaving them with the message, “YOU’RE DEAD”. However, the player can trigger the platform falling without actually falling. This will reveal a hidden area in the hole that they can jump to, but the door is locked. To open it, the player must go back into the vent and in the corner they can push out a wall of it. This will reveal a room containing a large pole with a button on it. Once clicked, the door should be open, and the player can walk down a long hallway to an open room. The room only seems to have a large hole where the player can fall and die in.

If the player goes back to the exit of the vent, there will now be a room unlocked. Here, they can find three more boxes with three more holes. The green box is labeled, “Your Dignity”, the blue box is labeled, “Your Personality”, and the red one is named, “Your Individuality”. The green box goes to the hole labeled C, red to B, and blue to A. If the player enters these in the wrong order, the game’s color will be inverted, seemingly losing the game. If done successfully, the door next to the player will open and if they step into the light, they will be given the message “Curagendarius is a god. He lives to hear you cry”, but in Russian.

Acid Snow[]

In Acid Snow, the player will spawn inside a large ice hole surrounded by a snowy wall. They will need to find a way to climb up this wall to access the vast snowy world. There are many things to find throughout here, starting with an abandoned street. This landmark will mark the north section of the map. First, north of the road in the middle to right part of it is some sort of plastic object sticking up from the snow. It has the letter “A” on it. It is unknown what its purpose is. On the left side of the road is an abandoned cabin. Inside is a radio playing distorted audio and a note left on the ground. The note reads:

“CURAGENDARIOUS,
I PLEAD
LET ME GO TO HEAVEN
WHERE I CAN MEET WITH JESUS
I CANNOT BARE THIS BATTERED WORLD
LIFE IS A PRISON
BIRTH IS A CRIME, AND LIFE IS THE SENTENCE
TAKE ME TO THE HOLY GATES”

In the fireplace of the cabin is a key that can be collected. The player should then take this key to somewhere on the western side of the map where they can find an abnormal rock. This rock has The Leviathan’s Cross on it, a symbol often used throughout the other Subtraction games. This rock can be given the key but it is uncertain what it does, possibly spawning a note in another stone structure near the middle of the map. This note reads, “Get to work on time.”

If the player travels to the bottom right corner of the map, they may find a rusty valve with a few barrels around it. Clicking this valve will open a bunker door found on the bottom left corner of the map. There are also watch towers around the bunker. Keep in mind that the door will close quickly. The bunker contains many beds, phrases saying “Diplomacy sucks!” written across the floor, a gas mask, and a note on a table. The note has “DIPLOMACY STINKS!” multiple times and finally, “AREN’T YOU HUNGRY?”.

Next, the player can search around the map for these orbs that spawn one at a time. The first orb can be found in the northeast corner, somewhat close to the road. The second orb should be in the middle of the western side of the map. The third one is in the open snow of the southern side, with the fourth being in the far top-left corner, or northwestern corner. The fifth is also behind a rock in the southern direction, the sixth is within the spawn area, and the final one is next to a rusty car near the road. Once the final orb is collected, the player will be teleported to a sub-place named, “Breakdown”.

In Breakdown, the player will be within a very dark place that seems to be a maze. In the chat filter, some voice will say, “Username: ARE THOSE WHO DICTATE YOU A FRIEND OR AN…” If the player then response with “Foe”, they’ll be kicked from the game and left with the message:

“TREATING OUR ENEMIES LIKE OUR FRIENDS, TENDING TO THEIR EVERY NEED. BUT PEACE & LOVE HAS TO BE THE WAY. THEY NEVER BLAMED THEM FOR THE PROBLEMS THEY CAUSED.THEY WERE DOING EVERYTHING THE DIPLOMATS SAID, IF THEY SAID IT DIDN’T HAPPEN THEN IT NEVER DID. THEY WERE NEVER ALLOWED TO SPEAK THEIR MIND, IF YOU DID IT HURT RELATIONS. THEY HAD IT IN FOR THEM ALL ALONG. THEY ONLY LISTENED TO THE PEOPLE ON TV, ‘THEY MUST BE RIGHT AND I MUST BE WRONG’ THEY SAID. WHEN THE TIME CAME AND THEY LET LOOSE THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO. WEAK MEN RAISED TO LISTEN TO OTHERS, ONLY KNEW HOW TO ACCEPT THEIR FATE. FREEDOM OF THOUGHT AND ACTION WAS NOT IN THEIR CODE. ALL THEY COULD DO IS SIT AND DIE.”

30th 20th[]

The player will spawn in a small place, surrounded with a dark environment. Here are found eight small pillars/altars with the Grace symbol on the side facing the center, and another altar with the 30121 symbol on each side in the middle. As time passes, the pillars will activate and form a trail directed towards the central altar.

Once all eight pillars have been activated, the one in the center will be powered and a sun-like symbol will appear on the ground as the light turns red. Gradually, the screen will fade to white, along with some noises in the background; this is probably the end of 30th 20th, and the player can then leave the place by themselves.

“Do Not”[]

The player will start within a room with three doorways. Many different pieces of text flicker at the top of their screen too. If the player waits a few seconds, the wood planks that are blocking off one of the passages will break. They can then proceed to the end of the hall where they will find a lever that they can switch. This opens another door back at the spawn, which leads to a ledge. The player can walk along this ledge where they will find a part missing. Planks make up this missing part, but they aren’t secure enough, as they will collapse once the player walks across them. This will cause the last door to open that has “Wrong way” written above it. This room is filled with jail cells with one of them on the left having a key in it. Once collected, the player can use it on the door at the end of the room. They can then again walk down a long corridor, but this time, they will be stopped by some sort of blue entity that emits a loud sound. Eventually, it will get close enough and the player will be kicked with the message, “You’re not very smart.”

However, there is an alternate ending that can be accessed. If the player returns to the area with the lever, they can jump on the wall above it and push out bricks. This reveals a much larger room that contains a pentagram. Above this pentagram is some sort of red orb. In order, the candles can all be lighted which will cause a beam to emerge from the orb. If the player walks into it, they will be teleported to “The Rebirth”. Here, there are statues of hands around and some sort of ocean of blood. Ahead of them is a monument with writing across all four sides. It reads:

“LISTEN TO ME AND ONLY ME
I AM RIGHT YOU ARE WRONG
YOU SPEAK LIES TO YOURSELF
OTHERS SPEAK LIES TO YOU
YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO MAKE THE DECISIONS
EVERY THING YOU THINK IS WRONG
I AM THE ONLY TRUE SOURCE
YOU WILL BE MY IDIOTS”

The player can also jump off the land to be kicked with the message, “No escape.” This is the apparent end of “Do Not”.

Sepia[]

In Sepia, the player will be inside a large, open, hilly sand field encased with walls. There is limited distance that they can see due to fog, so lots of walking will need to be done in order to completely clear the map. However, this walkthrough will cover rough directions of how to find landmarks.

First, based on how the player is viewing the map when they first spawn, they should head to the back left corner of the map to find a sort of altar that holds a relic. Next, a much larger altar with another relic can be found around the right side of the map, with it being a little more north on the y-axis than the previous one. At the middle of the northern wall, a blocked off doorway can be seen. If the player heads south from this door, they will find a small shrine with a code to enter. Now the player can stand in front of the shrine entrance and choose to go west or east. Going west (left) should lead to a small shrine containing a third relic. If the player goes East (right) and they search around, they should find the last altar with a relic and a pedestal. Placing the relic on the pedestal should reveal another; the player must continue this action until all four relics are placed. This will reveal a larger block with the code "301619" written on it.

GHGallery23

The Leviathan cross at the end of the game.

The player can then return to the shrine and enter this code, which will open the back door, revealing a statue. If the player stands in front of the statue for a few seconds, the floor will collapse and they will be taken to the final room where a leviathan cross can be found with the message "You are unhelpable." Touching the cross will reward the player with the "300" badge.

History[]

Game Hub was created on 11/27/2019 and was last updated on 10/26/2021. There have been four revamps, the last being the current version. The original version was a large open space with white tones and statues around the place. The first revamp introduced the second version of the Hub somewhere around December 15, 2019. This version contrasts greatly with the first one, as it is this time composed of dark tones, instead of bright ones. This update would also have brought the artifact teleporting to the game 30th 20th.  The second revamp came between January and early March 2020, giving the place the appearance of a kind of museum. It is on 03/06/2020 that the YouTuber Flamingo released his video on the myth, where this first version of the museum is seen. This led to a series from him and a large increase in popularity for Subtraction and Game Hub.

On 05/20/2020, the Hub had another expansion that included more games. The game would eventually come back to the darker version, with a revamp happening between August and early November 2020, but extended and with more teleporters. This revamp would have been the last before months, due to Subtraction being inactive for around a year. The most recent revamp came on 10/16/2021, signing the unretirement of the group and returning the game to the museum version with some changes. However, by the beginning of 2022, shqrb fell inactive so leadership was handed over to 8vo9.

Trivia[]

  • Some of the games that can be accessed from Game Hub have badges to obtain from completing the game.
  • The player can glitch outside of the map to access old Subtraction games.
  • Some of the posters seen on the walls are Thrash Metal album covers from 1986-87, such as Game Over by Nuclear Assault, and Among the Living by Anthrax.

Theories[]

  • Stress Test is about the player giving up their soul and everything that makes them up for Curagendarius.
    • People usually make deals for their soul with powerful beings above them such as gods.
    • It is said in the end message that Kuragendarius is a god that “lives to hear you cry”.
  • Bodysnatcher is about a person who takes interest in graverobbing.
    • They can take a helmet from a grave that belonged to someone named Freddy Josephs. After it is sacrificed, the satanic entity can catch the player and tell them, “WHAT’S IN THE BONEYARD BELONGS IN THE DIRT, NOT IN YOUR HOME. WHAT ROTS BELONG IN THE GROUND, NOT FOR YOU. ONE DAY YOU WILL ROT WITH THEM TOO.”
      • Even if the player escapes it, they will be trapped in a cage as a form of punishment for something.
