MartinCult is the former head of The Cult Family since the death of SmithCult after he took over forcefully. He is known as one of the oldest members of the family, he was represented as a black figure that stalked Smith in the classic story.

History

MartinCult joined Roblox on the 1st of July in 2012, just days after SmithCult would make his initial decals and first forum post. He would be active on the forums and in games, very well noted for being extremely insane, even threatening to kill people's families. Originally a fan account, Martin would not be considered "canonical" until Smith acknowledged him as being the shadow figure from his series of decals. Throughout this time, MartinCult, DavidCult, and GrandpaCult would have interconnectedness regarding their stories with SmithCult being considered deceased and DavidCult being the last alive. This would be reinforced by forum posts written by Martin, David, and Grandpa during the end of the month in July of 2012. Martin would be one of the few members added to the SmithCult account during 2012, and stayed there throughout the years until the friends and followers update, solidifying his place in the early family.

After being inactive for around a half of year, in August of 2013 the Cult Family would return with MartinCult getting a slight redesign with his Ninja mask of fire being added. AkaManah, another form of MartinCult would be added as the supporting figure of the shadow figure that Smith was stalked by. This would re-establish the character Martin as sort of a two-faced figure until it's eventual retconning. Smith and Martin would both be active for a short period during this time.

Two years after the initial re-introduction of Martin's character, Martin would don his iconic witch doctor mask in 2015. During this time he and David would both have slight re-designs to their characters.

In January 2018, the account was passed on to another hunter during that time named Robyty/Meligato. During the few months that he took over the account he made a few games related to the story of EudoraCult and MartinCult's relationship. Controversy began to struck as the owner of MartinCult was leaked by many hunters leading to Robyty eventually passing the account along to Kazdam. Later this would cause a ripple in the community and spread fear leading to the original owner of Martin, Jokerkid5898 to make an announcement in RMH regarding Martin's ownership assuring the community that Robyty had only used giving it to Kazdam as a coverup for his true identity. Under the ownership of Kazdam, Martin would forcefully take over head of the family and create the Cult Family group used during the duration of 2018-2020 around June of 2018. This would start the original Cult Family retconning and timeline rewrites known today as the canonical timeline. He would appear briefly as one of the leads of a Flamingo video, after this he would only log in to check in on the family mostly being an absent leader.

In early 2019, Martin would develop the Cult Family in secret around March and begin the iconic reformations that lead to major members being added and many characters being removed. It was not until October of 2019 when the Cult Family would come back in full swing and begin it's development process for the new storyline, at the end of the year the work was finished and the manor would be completed leading to another video on the family itself with Martin this time being the complete lead.

In early 2020, Martin would go inactive after the Flamingo video. Throughout this time David's game would be the focus leading to Martin himself being neglected. This would unfortunately become the case for four years after Kazdam's exposure in August of 2020, this would lead to Martin's dethronement due to account complications. Later, the group that Martin led would be hijacked by David redirecting members to Cult Family Rebirth.

This was believed to be the end of the account, until January 2024, when Kazdam unexpectedly came online. After some time, Kazdam ended up speaking to the team behind Cult Family Rebirth, and the MartinCult account was eventually given to them. It's unknown exactly what the plans are for MartinCult, although so far he has been given the "Former Family" rank, and his older games have been added to the group Cult Family: Archives. Along with that, he had also joined the Collaboration! group once again, albeit not as a collaborator.

Appearance

MartinCult currently wears the "Witch Doctor" hat, the "Ninja Mask of Shadows", and the "Martin Cult" shirt and pants. He also uses the "Zombie Face" and the "Elder Animation Package".

Personality and Traits

MartinCult's behavior at the time of the account's creation was noted to be very insane, frequently insulting and attacking people. This behavior would transfer to AkaManah while MartinCult himself became silent. His character would go through reformations during 2018, and refined in 2019 to take on a cool calculated gentleman character.

Trivia

• MartinCult is not related to any of his other families, he was just a childhood friend of SmithCult.
• In an old, now deleted, video of Robyty, he stated that the MartinCult account was made by jokerkid5898, then given to Robyty, and later sold to Kazdam.
• It was confirmed by David at a Sermon that Martin tried to kill Emmett and that Martin had lied about Emmett's death
• He is considered the murderer of WaldenCult, a former member.
• DavidCult confirmed that he have killed him with an axe at the back of the head and proven in Tool Shed, making Martin's death canon.
