"Circles" ― A phrase that appears in the game often.
Memories is the main game by Bobbys_Here. It has amassed a total of 2,000,000+ visits and has an massive amount of content. The game was original created in December of 2016 and was last updated in 2022 at the time of writing this.
Overview[]
Memories is a game made by Bobbys_Here. It's a very big game that uses invisible parts hidden around the map that the player needs to touch to activate the next part of the map.
Walkthrough[]
Upon joining Memories, you'll notice that everything is monochromatic including yourself and all of your surroundings. You'll spawn on a small island with multiple people in a walking position. There is a small pillar with another person standing atop it saying "Circles".
Due to the size of the game, I'll split this walkthrough into many parts for the teleports, paths and secrets (yes I did name the paths myself).
The Natural Path[]
To start, go around to the back of the pillar and touch it. A new part should appear. On this new part, there are a few trees, bushes and a grave with a rose on it. Jumping on top of the grave spawns in another section of the map. This part has a few more trees and two pillars, with one having a stone pole leaning against it. Going on top of one of the pillars will reveal the next part. On this part it seems to spawn in a small rock house of sorts with an empty interior. Go back to the grave and climb up onto the tree furthest from the grave to make the next part appear. This part has one big tree in the middle surrounded by smaller trees and a long bush. Going to the small tree on the right behind the big tree and walking around the trunk will get you to the next part. The next part is a long walkway with trees and an off-branching part of the walkway to what might be a statue. Touching the front of the statue reveals the next part of the path. The next part is a huge expanse of land with many, many trees and a huge hill which contains many more trees and a waterfall which falls down into a lake at the floor.
The Despair Path[]
To start, you need to fall off the corner which is in front and to the right of the starting pillar. Falling off the correct corner will give you a new part. On this new part, you can see multiple people crowding around a lynched person with torches. You can also see another person laying down with a sign next to them saying "Donate." The person is saying "I'm f-freezing..." To reveal the next part, you must climb on top of the post the person has been lynched off of and walk along the length to spawn the next part. The next part consists of 10 graves with a person behind one of them. The person says "If only." and touching him will teleport you to a place named "."
.[]
Upon joining ".", you'll notice that you're forced to be in first person mode. You spawn on a bridge that leads into the darkness. The bridge is suspended over a dark forest. Although spooky, the forest doesn't contain anything untoward. The bridge goes on for a long time until you reach the end where you'll find a wall with a door just like where you spawned. The door doesn't lead anywhere.
The Main Path[]
To start, climb on top of the pillar and touch the person who says "Circles". This should make a new part appear. On the new part, 4 people can be seen seated around a table with another 3 stood behind a bar. Walking back to the spawn, if you fall off of the back, right corner, you will activate a pile of bodies on the table. Climbing up the pile of bodies will make another part back at spawn. This time, it's an organised cylinder of people around the pillar and going up into the sky. There is an invisible ladder here and once you reach the top, you will be teleported to "Society". Back on the new island part, walking to the corner at the back left of the island will spawn in another part with multiple people surrounding a big cross. On the same island as before, standing on the front, right corner will spawn in another new part. This part will have many people all flying around as if flung into the air. Falling off of the back, right corner will reveal a big new part. This part has many people in the walking position with some saying things such as "They wouldn't understand" and "It's not your fault. There is a section of the island with multiple flying or stacked bar tables and chairs. There is another section with dark storm clouds and a cylinder of people stacked on top of each other going up through the clouds. Back on the island with the flying people, falling off of the front, left corner will spawn in another new, big part. This is a long walkway which leads to an island with multiple podiums that have thin, stone pillars coming out of the top and then bending to travel above you. Back to the island with the flying people again, touching the same front, left corner will lead you to the next part. The next part is connected with a bridge and it leads to a house with a single person in it saying "It's too much for me". Falling off of the back, left corner of this brings you to the next part. The next part is a fairly large structure with several small waterfalls running down it. Climbing onto the bar on the left and touching the inside of the back, right pillar will spawn stairs in to climb up the structure. Once at the top, walking around the structure will eventually reveal the next part which you need to climb an invisible ladder to get to that's on the top of the structure. The next part is some sort of village with a few empty houses. Going up the ladder in one of the houses leads to a bridge to another house. Jumping off of the bridge when near to the other house and walking along the wall of the house will spawn in the next part. On this part, you can see an extension to the small village with a few more houses, people and also "Lar's Bar". In the second building, you can find a room with a chair in it. Walk around the chair and you'll reveal the final part. The last part is a small extension to the village with three tables with meat cleavers on them. Two of the cleavers are laying on the table whilst the third is stuck in the table.
The Portal Path[]
To start, walk along the edges of the island until, eventually, a new part will appear. It will consist of nothing but a portal and a tree. The portal will take you to a game called "My House". To access the next part, you have to go around the tree until the next part appears. The new island contains another portal which leads to the game "Dreams" and another two trees. Going around the tree nearest the portal will make a new island appear with tables, chairs and another portal, this time leading to "My Bar". On the island with the "Dreams" portal, going around the other tree will make a new, bigger part appear. On this new island, there is a walkway to a temple of sorts. Inside the temple, four trees reside under a broken ceiling and a picture frame can be seen, although the room is nearly too dark to make out what the picture is.
My House[]
In this game, you spawn outside of a rather small and plain house with a mailbox. Inside the house, there isn't much to be seen. There's a table and chairs that can seat six people, an enclosed fireplace and a sofa sat in front of a TV that has no image, only white and is constantly making a monotonous flickering noise. Nothing much can be said about the outside. However, there is a pile of garbage bags outside and residing within them is another grey person.
Dreams[]
Upon spawning, you'll find yourself in a surreal looking place that looks like a dream, hence the title. There are more flying people, floating trees and other people defying gravity. You can also see more islands to get to. The first invisible trigger can be found by walking around the two trees on the first island. This will make "stepping stone" islands appear to lead you to the next island which has just a single tree. Walk around this tree and more "stepping stone" islands appear to get you to the last island. The last island contains a different grey person. This one wears clothes unlike the rest and is confirmed to be Lars_Bar.
My Bar[]
"My Bar" is a game made by Lars_Bar but due to it being in the game "Memories", we're putting it here anyway. Upon spawning, you'll notice that you're outside and in front of a small bar with a sign on the top saying "Lar's Bar". Inside the bar, it looks like a normal bar would. There are multiple seats and tables around, you can see who is supposedly Lars_Bar or just "Lar" behind the counter and many, many bottles. Other than that, there isn't anything else to say about it.
Society[]
You will spawn in front of a grey character with no texture or face or anything. From here you'll find four rooms. Three are seemingly empty until wandering around and the fourth leads you to an outside area. The path will split in two and shortly connect together again to make way for a pillar to rise out of the void with another textureless grey person to appear on the pillar. Continuing will only arrive you at a room with nothing in it. Going back to the first three rooms, two of them are empty but the one to the left of the first textureless person has a fake wall. It's located in the front left corner and is slightly difficult to get through. Once through you'll enter a room with people walking around on the ceiling. Going back outside again, you may notice that the buildings are extremely tall. Using a jumping glitch with another player, you can get to the top of these buildings to find more people and a few trees.
History[]
Memories has gone through many, many updates throughout its lifetime as a myth game. It was first made on the 14th of December, 2016 and has been updated up to this day. Updates can sometimes contain new areas to be found within the game such as one of the more recent areas to be added to the game being the part with the storm clouds and stacked tables and chairs.
Trivia[]
- There is a game only accessible via the Memories place called "Forsaken World" which was theoretically only accessible when Bobby joined the game. However, it has been privated, most likely due to the exploiters who got in anyway.
- Bobby has been sighted in other games before but usually has no recollection of how he has arrived there.
- When Bobby joins the game, the place goes dark and strange music begins to play. This is supposedly when a portal to Forsaken World would open up somewhere
Theories[]
- Memories is a collection of scattered thoughts and remembrances.
- It is increasingly difficult to get a logical story from Memories due to the sheer randomness of the islands and their contents.
- The content of the islands can go from religious hints to large builds. There is seemingly no correlation between any of it and the few grasps of a story we may have could be something we're trying to make into a story that isn't.
- Bobbys_Here is suffering from PTSD due to his friend (Lars_Bar) dying.
- Society has a room where everyone is standing upside down which could mean that Bobby's world has been turned "upside-down" in a mental term.
- We see Lars_Bar standing on an island away from everything else in Dreams which could mean that he's only to be found in Bobby's dreams now or he's being haunted by him.
- Bobby can be seen becoming distraught multiple times during Memories with quotes such as "It's too much for me" and others saying "It's not your fault" suggesting episodes of stress and trauma.
