Myth Places to Investigate (abbreviated to MPTI) is a popular myth hunting game owned by Robloxian Myth Hunters. It is used to find different myth places through a teleporting door in the center of it. It was created in late 2017 by osemadius and RobloxHorrorStory and eventually was revamped by unidentifiedchris and superender11.
Overview[]
Myth Places to Investigate is a small game that takes place on a platform in a small mountainous region. It features a few smaller sculptures and a large hologram with the text "RMH Places to Investigate". In the middle of the platform is a portal that teleports the player to myth games. The game can be randomly changed by flipping a lever.
Walkthrough[]
When spawning in, the player is placed on a small platform surrounded by small mountains, trees, and a miniature waterfall. The player is unable to reach these outer parts due to invisible walls placed around the platform. The game is decorated with multiple boxes, chairs, and some sculptures. There is also a large hologram stating "RMH Places to Investigate". The avatars of various high-ranked individuals of the group are positioned around the map. In the middle of the map is a doorway that serves as a portal to different myth games. At first, when the player joins the game, the portal doesn't work, and they need to flip a lever to make the teleport work. The lever chooses a randomized myth game from a list that the player can be teleported to if they touch the portal.
History[]
Myth Places to Investigate, originally just called Places to Investigate, was created on the 15th of July, 2017. Despite this, The first mentions of the game originate from 2018. It seemingly began as a smaller project developed by RobloxHorrorStory in collaboration with Robloxian Myth Hunters. The game eventually gained osemadius as a secondary developer and would progressively get more and more games added.
On the 4th of May, 2019, it was announced that the game would soon be revamped. It was later stated by unidentifiedchris that he was done with this new version on the 12th of May. Later on the 7th of July, the new map for places to investigate was uploaded. On the 14th of the same month, a grand reopening happened. This came with a new system and a total of 153 places. Later on, in 2020 the title of the game was changed from simply "Places to Investigate" to "Myth Places to Investigate".
Later on in 2021, a spinoff of the MPTI game was created for RMH Myth Development entitled "RMD Myth Places to Investigate". This game worked essentially the same way but with a different torch lighting mechanic and the selected games only being from RMD. Since this, no major updates have been added to either game, other than the addition of more games to play.
Eventually, in 2023, a small update to the MPTI would be created, which included NPCs of multiple hunters, including heminabove, sinsorr , and kingcorky, and a group of the four owners of Robloxian Myth Hunters.
