"We aren't ready for you, Stfil." ― Description of The Ghlaxanes
The Ghlaxanes is a game created by Ghlaxanes. It features a few puzzles, teleportation, and lots of gibberish to translate. The Ghlaxanes is known for its very detailed building and story.
Overview[]
The Ghlaxanes, created by Ghlaxanes (also known as Egor), takes place on the planet of the same name. The game is connected to plenty of others, sometimes made by Dkwb and Stfil, the two other accounts related to the story. Through the series, the player will discover the events happening on the planet, as a repeating pattern called the Prophecy. At the last stage, a structure called "The Arc" would eventually fire, emitting a large beam of blue, red, green colors which darts up into the atmosphere and starts the spread of the Midnight Curse. The Arc is a literal weapon, as if powerful enough, it could strike a planet and entirely destroy it.
The Midnight Curse can be considered as a kind of virus which spreads rapidly, causing many effects to the victims of which the most notable is memory loss. This curse has the ability to vaporize people, which sometimes leads to accidents or mass killing. It also allows Stfil, his supposed creator, to rebirth through a specific process.
The reactors seen all along the games contribute to the spread of the Midnight Curse and to uphold the Prophecy. They also have the ability to control the mind of any person near them. Several forms exist, some more powerful than others.
Walkthrough[]
The Ghlaxanes[]
Once the player spawns, they will find themselves in an open room with large statues and balls of light. Firstly, if the player walks behind the statue in the center of the room, they can fall through a fake floor which will teleport them to the game, EK-2585. This place features the solar system that The Ghlaxanes takes place in, with EK Caijina as star. Each planet, and moon have a unique name which can be translated through a Gibberish Translator. The most important object that can be viewed in the game is the planet Ghlaxanes. This is the planet the player was previously on, as the multiple beams of the Arc can be seen coming from islands on the planet.
Back to the original game, the player can instead walk down a hall with three ways to take. The player should go left as the other two ways lead to mostly nothing. The room on the left is very unique, and has a few things to look at, including the outside of the building. Next to the doorway is a reference to a myth hunter and a painting representing the Abyss. Behind it on the wall is a button, which will open another room underground on the other side of the room. This hidden room will teleport the player to “The Rouges”, a game created by Dkwb. Here, the player can view multiple planets that have gone rogue, meaning they abandoned their solar system. The reason of how and why it happened is unknown, and would be only known to Egor, Abner and Stfil. Again, the names of these planets can all be translated into another name. Back into the room, the player can find Stfil looking outside. The player can speak to him and a conversation will start. If the player asks “What happened here?”, Stfil will talk in gibberish and they will have to translate the dialog:
Stfil (translated from gibberish): “No one knows.
Player:“What?”
Stfil:“You don't know the language? Sad.
It's like someone here doesn't know that it is repeated.
No one knows if there is ever going to be a "truth". Unless perhaps, if better, a lie is out there for us.
Why am I even talking to you? You barely can understand me.”
The Sea of the Curse[]
The Sea of the Curse is most likely a disposable place for the old reactors, of any form and size, which ran out of energy, whose the Guardian reactor seen in The Guardian's Wiseful One game use in order to power itself up. In the distance, some figures can be seen looking in the direction of the small island. Around the place that the player is at are three portals, each representing one of the members of the family. The blue portal (at the left) will bring the player to The Guardian's Wiseful One, a game created by Dkwb. The game takes place somewhere in The Sea of The Curse, and the player can find what seems to be a statue representing Stfil. Behind the statue stands a special and powerful form of reactor, called Guardian reactor, whose dialog in the Sea of the Curse was talking about under the name of “Great Guardian of the Sea Within'”. Like in the previous game, many old reactors can be seen in the distance. If the player touches the statue, they will be teleported to another game created by Stfil, called “Darkness Within' The Guardians”.
The player can spawn in three different locations. They appear on a platform surrounded by darkness, from the portal they entered before getting teleported. The place is lit with glowing sticks that seem to be the same kind of energy bars seen in The Guardian’s Wiseful One. (The walkthrough can be slightly different depending on where the player spawns) After following the path, they will find a crossroads, with a statue representing Stfil. If they take the left path, they will see many reactors, some of them no longer functioning. Taking the right turn will lead to another intersection: the left path, as the right one will bring the player to portals, the other spawn points. Continuing to follow the straight path without turning will lead to a dead end, with a large statue of what appears to be Stfil (but could be the Wiseful One, as seen in the theory in Stfil's report). Back at the main crossroad. If the player takes the right path, they will find dialogs all over the way, that are most likely from Stfil:
“Wrong way.”
“... You don’t trust me?”
“Fine then! Go ahead, I won’t stop you.”
“Keep going! You’re almost there. You are about to discover something amazing!”
“Yeah! You’re getting there! I promise you, you are almost there!”
“Pathetic. You actually thought it would lead you a place full of wonders. Your goals of discovery in this very place is pointless.”
Back to the main crossroads again; if the player takes the path behind the statue, it will bring them to another intersection, with three different directions: the left path will lead to three successive floating statues of Stfil, the last one having green eyes, the colour of one of the beams released by the Arc. Keeping following the path will lead to a stone door. The way to open it is unknown.
Back to the intersection, the middle path will lead to a dead end. By taking the right path, the player will find a collapsed reactor, and a third intersection with three paths again: taking the left one and walking without turning will lead to a dead end, turning to the left when possible will bring the player to dark platforms above the water. Following them and the lights will lead to a Guardian Reactor, perhaps the same seen in The Guardian’s Wiseful One, but not functioning. Back to the fallen reactor, taking the middle path will lead the player to another Stfil statue, and will be teleported after touching an invisible wall behind it, near the path where the three statues were found earlier. If the player takes the right path back to the fallen reactor, they will end up by finding the dialogs seen earlier, and will get back to the main crossroads of the start.
The red portal back at the Sea of the Curse will bring the player to “The Abyss. The Abyss, first discovered by Egor and Abner and known as the beginning of the ‘Chapter Three’, is a huge mountain looking like a tower, surrounded by clouds, with three larger cloud halos at the top. Source of something called the Midnight Curse, this 500.000 years old place is the same age as the start of an important event happening on the Ghlaxanes, called the "Prophecy". It is also most likely the source of the red beam/arc fired by The Arc. Here, the player spawns in a cave and exits it by walking up a path with lights leading the way. The player will then find themselves on one of the mountain sides. Another reactor with gibberish text (translated here) can be found that reads:
“[READ?]
The kingdoms refused to stop and threw everything they had at the opponents until someone decided to stop this.
That man wielded the Midnight Curse.
That Midnight Curse swept across these kingdoms who opposed him. After all, there were no good guys or bad guys.
Thanks to him, the Midnight Curse has managed to erase these two's memories and banished them both from the Abyss.
Only to be given to Stfil himself when he []”
According to the dialog above, the Abyss was probably the place of one of these Kingdoms and held the fight between these kingdoms, before ending up falling by the power of a man. There are also pillars around the area with symbols on them, perhaps standing for The Abyss or the Trio Fallen Kingdoms, as well as an island with a platform marked by a red cross on it, that seems like it can not be accessed. At the left of the cave entrance, a massive bridge can be seen when looking in the distance. This bridge is known as the Everlasting Bridge, as it seems to be endless. Nobody knows how long it is, and traversing it all could take up to months. It is said there is a very large gate that stands in front of the Everlasting Bridge of the Abyss, but it isn’t accessible in game.
Back to the Sea of The Curse, the green portal leads to another game made by Ghlaxanes, called “An Illusion.” The player spawns in a small hall, from the portal they entered before getting teleported. They also have the same lantern from the Ghlaxanes game in the inventory. The place seems to be old as it is falling apart, as seen by the damaged pillars and the vegetation hanging from the roof. The Arc Symbol is found on the ceiling of the left side, and some floating orbs surround the place. In front of the player is another portal they can go through, which would lead to a hallway with many statues of Knights of the Arc. Behind the second statue on the left side is a teleporter to what seems to be a cutscene, showing an area with other green portals, inaccessible in game. There's a chance the cutscene is potentially broken as nothing happens. The only way to exit it is to leave and rejoin the game. In the back of the hallway is a narrow rift that the player can pass through. The path is lit by torches on the walls. Further on, the passage widens, and the player can find many green portals which however do not teleport anywhere. There’s also some reactors at the top of the cliffs. The player will then find a small hill with more ruins at the top, as well as Stfil saying: “Don’t even think about finding the true portal. You are wasting your time here.” At his side is a painting representing a mountain with another green portal in front of it, probably the “true” portal he was talking about. Behind the pillar next to the painting is another Symbol of the Arc. Some figures can also be seen at the top of the cliff behind the ruins.
There are four ways the player can go from the hill: if they take the right path from the hill and walk close to the rock face, they will find Stfil at the end. His sentence changed, now reading: “Do remember, all are fakes. One is the truth, but I suppose you are here to waste your time.” Back to the hill, there’s another path in front of it. Further, the player has to go to the right, as the straight way is blocked by an invisible wall. There are many other portals, this time with some of them totally inactive, and two paths. Walking straight ahead will lead to a dead end, and going left will lead to a more and more narrow rift. While walking, the player should find an obstacle, which turns out to be a reactor arm, coming from a broken reactor seen at the edge of the cliff above them. At the end of the way is a larger space, with three arches. Other figures are present at the top of the cliffs. The two other paths connected to the place are dead ends, as an invisible wall blocks the way. Back to the hill and if the player takes the left path, they should rejoin the previous dead-end found by taking the other path. There’s also another Symbol of the Arc on one of the walls. If the player takes the last and back path from the hill, they would end up supposedly stuck in a small area, with a portal and statues of the Knights of the Arc, along with Stfil who's the dialog reads: “Good job, you got yourself stuck. How are you going to get out? Selfish fool, that you are.” The area is actually easy to escape, as the player just has to go through an obby and climb the rocky platforms in order to get out. “An Illusion.” is the last game from the Ghlaxanes profil, but the exploration continues throughout the games of the two other Ghlaxanes related accounts, Dkwb and Stfil.
History[]
The Ghlaxanes was created on 4/12/2017, and was last updated on 1/3/2020. It went through multiple phases of updates to the game, and gained lots of recognition from popular hunters during this time. The Ghlaxanes was eventually discontinued when the myth retired on September 30th, 2020.
Trivia[]
- There were once humans on the Ghlaxanes, but it seems that most of them have ceased to exist. There would be 11 humans remaining.
- What seems to be one of the moons of Ghlaxanes, Vaklore, is the same name as an account that isn’t an official member of the myth anymore. Not much is known about him, except he was a painter.
- There are many references to hunters throughout the game, most notably being Cursed_Phoenix.
- The music playing in the spawn room of The Ghlaxanes is "Comptine d'un autre été", from the famous french movie “Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amélie Poulain".
- The fourth chapter was in an advanced development phase, but never released.
- In “The Sea of the Curse”, each member of the Ghlaxanes Family has a statue near their portal, but one of the pedestals has no character on it, the statue being underwater, possibly meaning there was another member of the family. This could have been meant for Vaklore, though it is not certain.
- A lot of letters relating to the lore are found on the Ghlaxanes account Twitter.
Theories[]
- The Everlasting Bridge of the Abyss is a dimensional channel that lead to the future.
- Stfil said himself the Everlasting Bridge of the Abyss is a dimensional channel that could possibly take to the future, marking the destruction of planets outside the system of EK-2585.
- Furthermore, it would explain why he’s so confident about his quest concerning the Prophecy and the spread of the Curse: the future is already written, and he’s the one who can achieve it.
- However, Stfil is also known for being the one not to be trusted
- The large gate standing in front of the Everlasting Bridge of the Abyss is the Forbidden Gate.
- The only known gate is the Forbidden Gate, whose model is found in Stfil’s inventory. Its nature is unknown, though it was probably going to be part of Chapter Four. It is said this gate would perhaps lead to a new world or reality.
