"The only way out is death." - Quote found in the game

The Puzzles is a fairly well known myth game by ThePuzzleCreator. It is mostly known for its puzzles and its sheer difficulty, still not having anyone known to have completed the game.

Overview[]

The Puzzles is a game that mainly focuses on using in-game puzzles and finding the codes to unlock doors to progress forwards. A variety of puzzles are used ranging from having the code written on a wall to using auditory means to display the code. As stated, the game is relatively difficult to get through and no one is known to have gotten past the final door. Throughout the game, a story is presented to the player involving a man's dead wife and many, many corpses. We also see another character, named Murphy Beckett, mentioned but never elaborated upon.

Walkthrough[]

The player will spawn into a decently sized room containing a vault on a small table, two doors and walls covered with numbers. There are also two sheets of paper on the floor, near to the wooden door, showing the player ten sequences of zeros and ones and assigning each a number from one to ten. One of these sheets also has the number seven displayed at the top. Along with this, some metal bars can be found piled into a sector of the room with a stretched six on one of them. To progress, the player must open the vault with a code hidden on top of the light fitting attached to the ceiling. It will read “7584309”. Saying this in the chat will open the vault where the player will find a piece of paper with the numbers “42351”. Saying this in the chat will open the metal door, allowing the player to progress.

In the next room, the player will find a wooden plank leaning against a wall and a table with a radio and a pencil along with a black book on the floor. The player can find a three on the wooden plank and on the underside of it some text stating “Murphy Beckett”. To progress, the player will need to listen to the audio playing from the radio from the beginning. It will begin to shout numbers and the player will eventually have the numbers “573984”. Saying this in the chat will open the next metal door and allow the player to progress.

In the next room, the player can find a variety of objects on the floor, a board with nails pounded into the sides with the number four in the centre of it and a sheet of paper on the wall with a five line page of what seems to be binary. The binary on the wall is actually the same as the binary found in the first room on the paper on the floor. To progress, the player must go back to the first room, translate the binary sequences into numbers using the key written on the paper and then connect the numbers collected to make the number “46758”. The player must say this and the next metal door will open and they'll be allowed to progress into the next room.

In the next room, the player will find themselves faced with three doors. One is a striped metal door and the other two are simply made of wood. They will also see two planks on the floor with each having a number on them. These numbers are two and nine. To progress further, the player needs to begin working their way back and using the seemingly random numbers they found along the way, beginning with the newly found two and nine. They will eventually have the number “294367”. Saying this will open the door directly ahead of the previous door, allowing the player to proceed.

Upon entering the next door, the player is greeted with a long, badly lit hallway with a corpse sitting at the end of it, a note at its feet and a door to the right. Touching the note prompts a GUI to pop up with the contents of the note simply reading: “The only way out is through death.”. To proceed further, the player simply has to say “death” in the chat and the second wooden door in the previous room will open.

In the next room, the player can find another note, some tools on the floor, a block of wood and a broken chair. It is worth noting that the note system the game uses has been broken by Roblox, meaning that only one note can be read per join by the specific player. The note states: “Death will let you escape” followed by eight lines of random five digit numbers. One of these is the code to open the door at the end of the hallway. Saying “63719” in the chat will open this door and allow for the player to progress.

The next room is slightly more bare, only housing a grave and a sheet of paper on the floor. On the grave a message can be seen. It reads: “Corrine Beckett” and then two lines underneath this message is “- You were the solution to my puzzle.”. The sheet of paper says “I will find the code to bring you back”, slightly hinting at what the player must do next. To progress, the player will need to find the code hidden somewhere within the game. It is located in the first room, on the wooden door the player spawns in front of. The number is extremely easy to miss as it is so minuscule that it's almost impossible to see from any distance away. The number is “16408” and saying it will open the next door in the gravestone room.

The next room simply has a corpse lay down in front of a sheet of paper on the wall that states “Waste”, likely referring to the corpse. There is also a note on the wall which says: “You took Corrines life, and I take yours.”. It is unknown who exactly the note is addressing.

At this moment in time, no one has shown themselves to have gotten past this point without glitches or exploits. Only one door remains, the striped, metal door.

History[]

The Puzzles was made on the 7th of February, 2018. It has received small updates throughout its life up until the 22nd of July, 2021, where it remains last updated. Through looking at previous discussions of the game, it can't be said for certain what the updates have added, fixed or removed from the game.

Trivia[]

  • Searching up "Murphy Beckett" in to Google will yield results for a book called Murphy by Samuel Beckett
  • Some people claim to have gotten past the final door but no one has come with sufficient proof yet.

Theories[]

  • Corrine Beckett and Murphy Beckett are ThePuzzleCreator's wife and daughter respectively
    • Coming from someone named "ThePuzzleCreator", being the solution to his puzzle is likely a term of endearment.
    • As Murphy isn't mentioned anywhere else, we can assume it was either a relative or a daughter of Corrine's.
